need a new start....

I've been thinking of moving the blog. It's been so neglected as of late... sorry 'bout that.

I have been busy.... busy working and busy ... well... being busy! ;) Truth is I think I am avoiding the blog... it's in such a sad state at the moment... I need a new header, some new tunes, I think I have been avoiding updating because everytime I come to update I see it.. and am reminded of the "one more thing" I need to do:  REVAMP the blog! I need to post new pics of the kids..... I need to post new pics of me and the hubs... (I lost 35 lbs in case you hadn't heard... ;) )

But I am just so busy.... and so... uninspired. I need like a week off from life... so I can just chillax and re-group.... ever feel like that??? I do... often.... *sigh*

I have been thinking of moving the blog.... I dunno.... I am thinking of moving it back to blogger but just can't seem to commit to that desicion... lol.. It seems that blogger was more... "idiot friendly"... and I'm a pretty big idiot when it comes to website and blog mumbo-jumbo.

Oh but you are probably wanting at least some sort of an update, yes? no? Well... here's one anyway....

Things are pretty much moving along the same as always (see, that's why I never update.. nothing fun to report! lol) Its June... almost July... I have a new nephew.. little Merrick Conner... still have yet to actually meet him.... hmm... I think his mom and dad need to plan a vaycay up here to see me.. ;-) hint hint... Ricky is racing the Mammoth MX this weekend... well.. kinda... he practiced on Thursday and hurt his *other* hand (oh yes, I forgot to blog that about two months ago he wrecked on his bike and broke his right wrist.... has had a cast on ever since...) well, on Thursday he hurt his left hand, nice huh? Well, being a guy he is still determined to race tomorrow, at least he took today off from the race... *rolling eyes* He also decided to play doctor while we were in Utah and cut his cast off. He said he couldn't ride with it on. *sigh*... boys...

So, he will race tomorrow, sans cast + two hurt hands/wrists and I will most likely be blogging ftom the ER on Sunday afternoon, as I am alsmot certain that is where he will end up... probably with BOTH arms in casts. I am sure he did this all on purpose just so he could get out of changing Miss Mars' diapers. (he owes me big time for that btw... I think he has changed her all of 3 times in the last 6 weeks.... )

What else... still on the job hunt, though I have decided that whatever happens is fine with me (sort of).... if we are still here in a year, so be it. I have come to terms with living here and have actually become "kind of okay with it" recently. It's not all bad.... there are pluses for sure... perhaps I will blog about those another time. ;-) But lets be clear... while it's all cool for now.... I really don't wanna be here forever... or even the next 3 years really....

Hmm.. oh yes, Fathers Day is tomorrow... I should post about how great Ricky is as a dad or something of the like tomorrow... he is pretty awesome.. ;-) I'll have to sleep on that.. come up with something equally as awesome to post.

But now... as the clock gets ever so much closer to midnight... I need to get up and clean the house. Wat you say... clean at midnight?! Yes... if you have kids and a husband you know that trying to clean during the day is like trying to bail out the Titanic. Pointless!! So... I clean at night, after everyone has gone to sleep.... then at least it stays clean for the 8 or so hours everyone is sleeping. ;-) I'm sure the ghosts appreciate it.

So... off to clean I go... how awesome will my husband think I am when he awakes tomorrow, on Fathers Day no less... to a rockin'ly fabulous awesomly clean house?! Pretty aesome.... pretty awesome.... ;-)

Got scratched and skipping DVD's??!! I have the cure!

Okay... so... maybe I am the last one on the block to discover this little trick.. but I thought I would share anyway.

A couple weeks ago Ricky's cousin told me that to get scratches outta DVD's and CD's all you do is rub toothpaste (the actual "paste" kind not the gel) all over them, and rinse them off... and VOILA no more skipping!

I had kinda forgotten about it, until today when Ash was wanting to watch "Open Season" and it was skipping so bad towards the middle of the movie that it wouldn't even play. I grabbed the movie and headed to the bathroom: rubbed toothpaste all over it, rinsed and repeated (it was really bad). I popped it back into the DVD player and to my surprise.... it WORKED!! No more skipping!!

I grabbed "Cars" and tried it on that one as well... since it was even worse than "Open Season", and again... it WORKED!!!

I'm gonna get all the kids movies together tomorrow and do it to all of them. The kids play with them so much they have wrecked pretty much all of them. Then.... Ricky's gonna get a lock for the entertainment center cabinets so they CAN NEVER TOUCH THEM AGAIN!!! LOL

Marley Mae~ 9 month pics....

I did Marley's 9 month pics the other day while we are at my sisters house. It was about 100 degrees outside... so I was really surprised she let me get any at all. LOL

We also took her in for her 9 month well baby check last week. She's only 14 lbs!!! Ya... she's pretty mini.

The hats, as always, were curtosey of my FAB friend Jyl.. LOVE HER!! (www.jylholidaycreations.com) When she sent them to me I knew *exactly* what I wanted to use them for. I just wish Mars would have kept them on for more than just a few shots. Oh well.... it still worked. ;-)

Cohen's 1st T-Ball Game!!

Sooo.. it's been awhile since my last post... Ricky's laptop is still in the shop, so I've had to rely on my MIL and sister for any type of blog access. ;-) I get the internet on my phone... but I can't post pics, and what fun is a blog w/o pics??!! haha

Anyhow, we signed Cohen up for T-ball this Spring and he had his first game today. He looked so cute in his little uniform.... too bad he wasn't as into it as I had hoped. He loves to bat, and is really good at it... but that's about where the excitement ends. LOL He played center field today and the very first inning he was already drawing pictures in the dirt. Figures.... In his defense though... he's the youngest one on the team... all the other kids are 6 or 7, and he only just turned 5 so.... I'm gonna go with that as the reason he's getting bored easily. He did have fun though. Here are some pics!!

Ash found a flooded spot of lawn by the field and had a freakin blast!! I only let her play in the water because I happen to have an extra outfit in the car for her.... otherwise I would have been freakin out.. LOL She was S-O-A-K-E-D!!

Networking..... Puttin' the word out!!

So, in the theory of "It's not what you know... but who you know.." I'm putting the word out that Ricky is looking for a job. (big shocker right?! LOL)

He's got his BS in Business Administration and his MBA with a concentration in Project Management. We are open to moving pretty much anywhere... we'd love to go back to Michigan, but who knows.

Anyhow..... if anyone knows of anyone who's hiring or can maybe use him in their own company... please let us know. We've got student coming due in June ($800 a month!! *puke*) and while he's trying to get a deferment... we haven't been approved for it yet so..... we are gonna be up a creek in a couple months if he doesn't get a better job. ;-)

My friend Rachel and her husband Darren, lost their little baby boy this morning. My heart is just breaking for them. No parent should ever have to bury their child. Please keep the Lister family in your prayers..... many hugs to them.... and to their little angel, Michael.

mobile blogging

so.... i finally got internet on my phone. (after a 45 min phone convo with everyone and their mother at t-mobile.) I'm still trying to figure it all out. The webs a whole lot smaller on my phone vs my laptop. haha The lap top is still dead btw. Ricky is getting a new hard drive for it tomorrow. I hope that does the trick..... or we are bigtime screwed! Anyhow..... so, I am ''mobile blogging''.... kinda cool. I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics from my phone onto here. If anyone knows.... please let me know! Haha So... I have easter pics to share... but it'll have to wait til Ricky gets the new hard drive, as i have no way to get them off my cam, and onto a computer.. *sigh*. We did have a good easter though. My mom sent easter baskets for the kids, they loved them. But they think the easter bunny brought them, so.... grandma gets no credit for that one. haha.. She doesn't mind though. ;-) We also had a delish easter dinner with Rickys parents, Cyndee, Jake, Kristen, little Jake,and Jesse. I ate way too much... but it was worth it...delish! I will have to post the pics from today later this week. As long as Ricky can bring the laptop back from the dead. *fingers crossed*

Weight Loss Pics

I realize not everyone who reads this blog reads my Biggest Loser blog, so I thought I'd post my recent weight loss pics over here as well.

I'm really quite pleased with myself. I started in January, and have already lost 24 lbs. I'm more than half way to my goal (to lose 40 lbs) and I am 6 lbs away from my HS weight.

I've been doing Weight Watchers and have to say... it is THE BEST PROGRAM EVER!!!! It has been soooo easy for me. And the weight just keeps coming off. I need to get my butt in gear as far as regularly working out (I'm a bit lazy when it comes to that... and I'm flabby now as a result. lol) But other than that... I am really happy with my results thus far.

This is a "mid-way" pic, since I am not yet to my goal, and am past the "half-way point" already.  (BTW- I swear I wear make-up and nicer clothes. LOL This is just the best outfit I have to show off my loss. And it seems I always forget to do a pic when I "have my face on"... haha, I'm pretty brave, but no chance am I posting a bikini pic just yet.)

Welcome to the world wee one!!!!

Introducing my newest little nephew.... Tripp Jameson McCoy, born Tuesday March 24th, weighing in at 8 lbs 8 ozs and 20.5 inches long. He is the sweetest thing, and I am loving taking pics of him! I'll be posting a bunch on my photo blog later today/tomorrow.
