I'm a bit late in sharing these.... I've been really busy trying to fisnish up a few family sessions I did a couple weeks back. Anyhwo... here are our Halloween pics. It was raining all day Fri but *finally* let up around 4ish. It was still cold and wet, (hence the snowboots I made the kids wear.. haha) but it was still fun. Ash was ALL about it, but Cohen was over it after like 2 houses. I don't get him... I mean... isn't it every little kids dream to get free candy?! Okay..maybe it was just *my* fat kid dream. LOL
Anyhow.. we also went to a couple Halloween Carnivals the weekend before. The kids had a great time at both. The one on Friday they wore their costumes, and I assumed that everyone would also wear costumes to the one on Sat..... I was wrong. haha The second one was at my niece and nephews school and when we got to my sister-in-laws house, with costumed kids in tow, she says..."Oh.. they don't wear costmes to this one." Whoops! Luckily Cohen had shorts and a t-shirt on under his, so we just took his off, but the girls were a different story. Marley's still a baby so she can get away with anything, and Ashley... well.... people kept saying how freakin cut she was and how they loved her dress. Several moms even asked me where I got it. I was like... "Um.. at the Childrens Place, but it's her Halloween costume...sans mask." LOL They were like... "Well, it works as a dress!" :-) So.... it turned out to be a pleasant mistake. Only thing was... it was like 80 degrees, and we were outside... so the poor chica was pretty hot in her longsleeve black turtle neck.
Anyway... here are the pics. I made Mars's costume. :D I was pretty proud of myself. Of course.... it isn't all that difficult to make a tutu and headband... haha. BUT... it was still an achievement for me. :) And she looked pretty dang adorable if I do say so myself. I got the onsie at Wal-mart for only $4! Gotta love WallyWorld. Ashy was a kitty, she wasn't a huge fan of the mask, so I just had her wear it on her head Halloween night, and added a nose and wiskers to her face ala eyeliner. ;-) Cohen was Venom (the evil black Spiderman). He was going to be Indian Jones. We went and saw the movie in the theatre way back in May and he walked out saying.."Mom..can I be Indiana Jones for Halloween?". It was ALL he could talk about for months!! Then... as soon as he saw the Venom costume online at Target.... he was over Indiana and wanted to be Venom.Kids!! Whatcha gonna do?! haha
Oh yes... and of course I had to get them thier Halloween jammies from Old Navy again this year. It's a tradition. Plus... they're great for going under their costumes to keep them warm. :P
My sorry attempt at a pic of all three of them... *sigh*
Cohen at the bowling game at the Carnival. :)
